May, Sunday, 18, 1862. This morning is cloudy and cold. Dan and I took a walk down to the College and Fair Grounds. After whitch we went to hear [Both?] Mark preach. Hee took for His text - the 10. Ch Luke 6,7,8, and 9th verses and then I went Home and went to bed and slept until three Oclock. I then got up and eat my dinner after whitch I attended Bible class. from there Jonathan and I went up to see Cynthia and in the evening we went to hear the Rev Shearer preach on the pouring out of the 5 vile. He gave us a very good lecture.
