May, Sunday, 25, 1862. A very fine day we all attended church at the Old. School Presbyterian Ch. Mr. Shearer gave us a very good discourse His text will be found in the 10th Ch. numbers and 29 verse. I went from there to the 2ond Church and heard Mr Vanatti Preach a very good sermon, after whitch the Agent of the Bible Society made a few remarks and then took up a collection for the Benefit of said Society. I heard Him preach at night at the Methodist Church He also raised a very handome collection there.
