May, SATURDAY, 31, 1862. This is a very dark and Gloomy morning raining like the Devil too, and we wont have any trade to day, but I dont care one Dam, for I feel like leaving the Town at any rate very soon. I dont suppose Cynthia will be at home to day. She will think me a hell of a fellow, but think as she may when a man cant he cant, it has been raining all day and synthia did not get home to day She will be mad at me but I cannot help it, but I must go home and spend all the time I can with my mother before she leaves.
