June, Sunday, 1, 1862. It is a very gloomy morning and I dont feel mutch like going to church but I will put on the fixens and go up Town at any rate. well here I am up at Myers and they are playing cards for money this is rather a new way of spending the Sunday for me I believe I will go home and take a good sleep and then go to Church in the evening, Mr Shearer Preached on the pouring out of the 6th vile, He gave us a very good Sermon and I relished it very mutch indeed.
