June, THURSDAY, 12, 1862. This morning is rather Cloudy and looks as Iff it might rain soon but the Farmers say their grain needs rain especially their Corn there fore I would like to see it rain soon I dont want to see it rain on tomorrow for I want to take a short ride in the evening the mail brought no aditional war news It brought me a letter from my mother She got home safe but does not appear as contented as I would like I dont wish to see her again till I have a place prepared for Her to live no news to day worthy of notice.
