June, MONDAY, 16, 1862. It is very warm this morning and has the appearence of rain and rain is very much needed at present. Mr Cleaves & Lady started on a visit to Salina to day I know not how long they will remain, this has been a dull day in our business we reced some shoes from Muscatine and a box of dry goods from Boston to day. they turned out a little the nicest of any good we have got lately. John K. Dill is about buying the wedding suit he dont care for expences He dont. I shall kick for an Invitation to the wedding myself I. will.
