July, SUNDAY, 6, 1862. It is very warm this morning. it is by far the warmest of the season In fact it was almost unendurable. I went to Church in the forenoon we heard a very good Discourse by Mr Shearer. after that I went home and took a sleep and then loafed arround Town the rest of the day. at night I attended both the M.E.Church and the Advents and felt bored at both. I did not go to bed until 12 O clock it was so warm and then I could hardly sleep, but the day pased over quietly
