July, THURSDAY, 10, 1862. It has cleared off and this is one of the most lovely mornings I ever saw but I dont feel very well to day I wrote my Father yesterday and mother also, no news from the army to day of any Importance I have a sleight headache all day and I think I can sleep it all off to night, our days trade is rather slim to day I wish I had a Horse and buggy of my own I would a ride every evening. but the only way I can enjoy my self is to read all the time that I have no work to do and that is pretty often now a days.
