July, WEDNESDAY, 16, 1862. The Clouds look rather ominous this morning I think we will certainly have some rain before night. the Chinch bug is destroying the Farmers Wheat and Iff it rains mutch more they will not have good corn. the day is passing away very quietly and we have sold but very few goods we got but very little war news to and what we did get was not very Important. I think I shall go a calling again this evening for I spent the time so well last night that I feel like trying my hand again soon but this is not very Interesting to write about.
