August, FRIDAY, 1, 1862. it is warm this morning but it has the appearence of rain I hope it may rain to coole the air Sallie Minture is going to have a picnic at her school to day Iff I had time I would like to go. I would go to war Iff I thought I could stand it, but there is no use talking I was called on to day for 107. dollars that I owe to J.N. Henderson and it makes me feel bad to think that I cannot pay when I am called on, but sutch is the case, no war news to day. I feel pretty blue this evening. It is very warm to day.
