August, MONDAY, 4, 1862. This morning is very Cloudy and very warm I am going to start west a short distance to day. I am now about 18 miles from home and it is raining like the Devil I am stoping with Mr Hollingsworth He appears to be a very fine man full of Gags. I have Defrayed Expence of my dinner whitch was the Enormous sum of 25 cts. I am now at some ones house I do not know This man but I discover it has not been Long since they have Increased this Family for I heard something squeak in the back room there are two barefooted Ladies here too. ah me.
