August, TUESDAY, 5, 1862. This morning is very pleasant and I feel a good eal better than I expected I would after my ride, my lodging cost me 30 cts. after paying It I started for Ottumwa I arrived there about four O.clock I came from there to the place where I now am. I have forgotten the name but it is sutch a small place it dont make any difference news from headquarters Say the are about to commence Drafting so I suppose I will get to go to war yet. I wish I was back at Washington for I am getting very tired riding
