August, MONDAY, 11, 1862. This morning it is more pleasant a nice refreshing Breeze I hope it may continue so I think I will feel better in a few days after pondering the war going all day and night I have come to no conclusion yet. I feel some little better this even I think I will call on some of the Ladies this evening and see how it goes with them. these are Develish dull times now no trade. I expec Cleaves & Brokaw will not want me for it is so dull and I dont want to stay
