August, Sunday, 17, 1862. This is a pretty day but exceedingly warm I have to Church this morning and heard the Rev Shearer Preach and then I went to the first N P Church and heard the Rev McKee, I then Called on Synthia and had the Pleasure of meeting Mr. [Coe?], there He is a very fine man I think He will make Her a good Husband, I then went to the Babtist Church and heard Father Thompson Preach he is a whale He did not leave a grease spot of the Adventists, He is very Sharp decidedly I will go home and to bed,
