August, TUESDAY, 19, 1862. A very pretty day Indeed but a poor day for getting recruits Al will not go to the country he says there is no use for Iff the men want to go they will come in and say so, I discover He is a little too Independent to raise recruits we are doing the next thing to nothing, and Friday is our last day for recruiting. We have a great many promises but they do not amount to any thing, nothing special going on to day the Farmers are bringing their wheat to market in great quantities and getting a good Price for It,
