August, SATURDAY, 23, 1862. It is the nicest weather I ever saw I wish I was in old Ohio a few days to enjoy it, there is no such thing as one enjoying themselves in this country any more, In fact I have had no enjoyment since I came here for it never seemed like home to me, I received a letter from my mother to day she is well but very mutch opposed to me going to war. but I presume Iff I dont go voluntarily that I will be Drafted so she will have to be reconciled to it some time, our Company Disbanded to day and I am in the store again.
