Thursday Aug 11th,,1864 I am most sick today some with the fever, the usual canonaiding and Skirmishing today. I am excused from duty by the Doctor today. Friday Aug 12th,,/64 Feel quite well this morning, I and [Casten?] go over to the Quartermasters and I begin to have the head ache and bones ache, can hardly get back to Camp, see Dr Rugg and get some medicine, hard fever all the night and very hard head ache did not rest much in the night Saturday Aug 13th,,/64 I feel about the same this morning only my head dont ache as hard canonaiding today and Skirmishing as usual today Sunday Aug,,14th,,1864 I feel about the same this morning some head ache and bones ache Monday Aug 15th,,1864 I do not feel as well this morning Wrote to Mary K. today and go to the Div Hospt. Tuesday Aug 16th,,1864 Received a letter from Deal G. I feel about the same this morning. Wednesday Aug 17th,,1864. I feel about the same now some canonaiding today. Thursday Aug 18th,,1864 Wrote a letter to Ettie heavy canonaiding last night and this morning. I dont feel quite as well this P.M. Friday Aug,,19th,,1864 Sent my letter out this morning heavy canonaiding this morning from our Batteries at four A.M. Saturday Aug 20,, I feel about the same this A.M. rather weak yet though the usual canonaiding and Skirmishing today Sunday Aug 21,, all about the same today at the Front today Monday 22,, About the same at the front today all going on well got my pay of William Ross, by letter today or yesterday cool and comfortable this day
