[?] C[?] Charles Atlanta [C?] Atlanta Ga,, November 4th,, 1864 Kind Mother. I seat myself once more to write you a few lines. I have been thinking of writing now most every day, but have had a great deal to do to get our business straightened up. we are under orders to move soon on a fifty days Campaign in what direction none of us know as usual, but you may look for an active Campaign this fall in this Dep't,,. The best news is that I am well and having good times for a Soldier Dell Chaffe has been detailed at the Corps Quarter Masters and Edgar and I have all of the business to do now, we have been issuing clothing and making out the papers & getting ready to move and I have not had much time to write letters, last night I wrote making out papers till midnight and have been at it all day most and now we have got most done (Vertically, at top left:-) I wish you would write and tell me how much money you got of mine to go to Michigan and who got it of so I can pay them and keep the thing straight I dont know as I can send this now but I think I can by going to the Postoffice at Town yours in haste M W Darling
