We are now at Arlington hights in D.C. 5 miles from Washington acrossed the Potomac we marched over here Thursday got over here about 8:0;clock in the evenings crossed the Potomac bridge about 3/4 of a mile long I should think. It is very warm wether here now warm days and cold nights. I can not begin to tell you what I have seen but it is a good deal. I am glad that I enlisted it is a good cause I am sure. I have written a letter to Lib to day. I have seen some Rebel prisoners they looked like dogs to me; they looked mean you might believe standing in a prison under guns
