Camp at Thoroughfare Gap Monday Nor 10th,, 1862 Dear Friends We arrived here to the Gap yesterday after a mareh of about 8 miles, I wrote one letter dated the 5th,, when we were in three miles of here & an other when we were within 7 miles of Warrenton dated the 8th,, I hope you have get all of them for I wrote a good deal of news about our march. We marched from within three miles of here about 10 miles towards Warrenton & back here yesterday to the Gap I have got to answer a letter to Uncle John & to Byron Allen to day that I received before we left Fairfax
