not a week since, I think you must have got it by this time, Delos was down here last night & George went up to stay all night with him I am on the gain slowly I have not been out doors yet, but think I shall tomorrow I have walked back and forward through the tent every day lately but I am very weak yet and my hand trembles so I cant more than half write. Monroe is here in the same tent he is so he goes all around out doors. we have got the best kind of nurse he is an inglishman and his name is John Walch (Vertically down, from top right:-) O I think a great many times how lucky I was for I was in the battle of Sunday and saw harder or as hard times as I did Saturday night I was under fire all the forenoon while the main part of the Reg't,. was not in at all I do not want you to send any thing for we live very well we can have soft bread or Crackers (Vertically, from bottom left:-) Tell Frank I should like to send him a ring but (Continued, at top of page:-) I have not got any more now (Vertically, from bottom left:-) perhaps I will send him something,
