Vols Savannah Geo,, January 21st,, I865 Dear Brother and Sister, I am tired of waiting any longer for a letter from you so I will write you a few lines this evening;as Edgar has gone out and I am alone in our wall Tent (or cotten house) and everything is comfortable and warm with our little box stove and by the way I must tell you how we came by it. after we got into this city we found we needed a stove and out we put came to an old "Reb" hospital that was (Upside-down, at head of page:-) with all the news who is married and who is going to be and who ought to be if any Cell (Vertically, at top left:-) M.W.Darling Serg't,, 154th,, Reg't N.Y.V. 2nd,, Div,, 20th,, A C,, Savannah Geo,, Good night I must go to bed now In haste Cell
