the camp and all of the Company that had had a chance to catch it from him must go with him and as I had been in the tent to see him several times I had to go too. So myself and 32 of the company took our tents and went 1/2 mile into the woods and are haveing a Camp of our own and neither give nor receive visits from any one only the Dr. Evry man in the Regiment was vaccinated yesterday. Dr Muzzy of Cincinnati is our Brigade Surgeon now and was here this Morning and said it was a verry severe case of Varioloid and not Small pox. Stovall had just returned from Elkwater a few days ago. and it is supposed that he caught it on the way somewhere. He got vaccinated 6 or 8 days since which had a good effect and Dr Muzzy says that is all that saved him from haveing a bad case of Small pox. You may hear a good many of what we call camp Storys about this matter but the above is the true Statement. We are all vaccinated that are here so I do not apprehend any danger
