I do not wonder; I only wonder that he is living. I have forwarded a blanket for him by Express to your Care, directed to New Haven, Nelson Co., or Camp Wickliffe, Larue Co., Ky. The box went on this morning, and I trust will be received at the earliest moment. Who is the proper officer of the Company, whose duty it is to see that the men are comfortably provided for? I would like to know. Is a soldier to do without blankets, if forsooth, some scoundrel, maliciously, or otherwise, appropriates them for his own use by selling or bartering them away for something else; or for his own comfort. Are there no efforts made to find out a thief. In such a case I dont believe they
