In his remarks he has something to say about three months men which is intended for us but it does not touch us for we knew, evry one of us, before we left Liberty that the 3 months call was full but we went into the one years service which was the only opening there was at the time, as there was no 3 years call made then but as soon as there was such a call evry one of us whom he is sneering at went forward and enlisted and did not wait to see whether it would be popular or not, Why he is blurting at us so I cannot tell as there is the best of feeling existing between both Officers and men of the two Companies. There appears to be a much better feeling existing among both officers and men in regard to our General as they begin to find out that when he gives an order for anything to be done he expects it to be done consequently he gives no orders only what he means and when they are obeyed all right and if they are not obeyed then it is all wrong He has Col. Wagner under arrest now for not haveing the Reg all Vaccinated when he ordered it, but I hope it will not amount to much as I think the Captains are more in the fault than the Col. but I hope they will all learn a lesson, from it. I am sorry to say that the men of our Company have but verry little respect for their Captain and do not care whether they please him or not Consequently the are becomeing quite reckless about obeying orders which will in time if not stopped ruin any Company Speaking of the papers that you have sent me I have only received 6 in all. The two last numbers of the Herald come to me in good time and I want you to continue sending it but I do not care whether you send any others or not. By the way if you send us the butter and there is any room you may put in what Ledgers you have received since I come away as we are all reading them and need the last numbers. It is hard work to find enough news here that would interrest the people at home as we are restricted so closely in regard to what we write
