you as it had plenty of time to have reached you before you wrote to me. Others who sent money the same time further off than Liberty have already had returns from it but I hope mine will soon turn up. Speaking of fencing the lot, I belive that it had better be postponed for the present, and if any one has the rest of the field rented and cutivating perhapse you could rent it them also. As regards moveing I think if Mother and Newton pays half of the rent. that it would be much the best to remain where you are, and save the trouble of moveing. As regards letting Miss Duvall have a room you must do as you please. I have nothing to say. I want to know what Bill it was who whipped his wife as you said Bill and nothing more, What is Van going to do as you say he is not going to be at home this summer. I do not know how much I owe for the Herald. but I thought it was paid up to Christmas before I started away. Speaking of the Herald, I received the No. of March 19th yesterday but evry thing was old for some of the boys had one of the same No 2 weeks ago. By the way what is the nub to the 2nd Lieutenans remarks concerning his Photographs which he says are all in Fredericksburg. Was the 16th boys in the battle at or near Winchester. I hope you will have a good time at home, with your family and friends. I will still direct to Liberty and Hen can forward them if you are not there. You direct until further Orders to Collumbia Tenn. but I think no doubt but we will be in Alabama before you can have time to write to me again. It is getting late and no doubt we will have to march tomorrow therefore for the present I will close by giveing my respects to all enqureing friends and my undying love to you and our dear little children. your Affectionate Husband A.
