Ask Hen Husted if he can get the material and make me a pair of blue pants. I want the color that he made me while I was at home but not the same kind of cloth I want a good pair of pants made out of regular pant goods and he knows what it should be better than I can tell him Write immediately and let me know as I need them badly. I can get pants here but they are not the color I want and then the price is higher than I want to pay, which is $12.00 for a pair of unlined pants. If Mr. McWhinney is comeing Send such things by him and if not then send them by Express, as ther is an office now opened at this place and I think we can be pretty sure of getting them, if Sent as soon as convenient; We are encamped in the edge of the village and the boys have their tents Set on the commons. Many of the officers are occupying vacant houses, which are quite plenty near the camp. The officers of Co. "I" are very comfortably situated in a 3 roomed cottage with a good well of water and all other conveniences attached, and is immediately in front of the mens quarters, therefore we feel quite at home. The weather is excessively warm and but little rain, but we have nothing to do but perform guard and picket duty and no drilling therefore we manage to get along without much suffering from heat We have not heard from Macy since we left him at Huntsville. I heard yesterday from Robert North who is laying at Huntsville and is not expected to recover, he has the fever. John Darnell is in the Hospital, he has not been of much service for some time, as he is unwell all the time. Levi Lynn & Wm. Cummins are both quite poorly, but are walking about camp. They have both done duty until within the last 2 weeks, they both failed. I think they both
