All of Wagners Brigade is here and also one Battery of 6 guns.  Nelson has considerable force at McMinnville but how many I can not tell.  I wrote a letter to Nancy a day or two since and told her to tell you to direct anything you should send by Express to Nashville as We do not know where we will be by the time it should be sent  If you send me anything I want you to put me in a pair of the best quality of Gumelastic Suspenders.  We heard yesterday that the Pay Master was not comeing until September and then he would pay us for 4 months which will then be due us.  Many of us are needing a little money badly but we will have to grin and bear it and I suppose if we have not got it one wont spend it.
Are you about out or clear out or have you enough to do you for a month yet.  I want you to make enquiry if the property that Allen White lives in is for sale and if so find out the price and terms it can be bought at.
