2 There is nothing of interest transpiring with us and nothing but the dull rotine of camp life over and over, but no telling how long it will remain So, for perhapse before I get through writing this we may be called on to witness exciting Scenes but it is not anticipated at present as the country has been Scouted for many miles around us and no sign of an enemy. We got the news a day or two since that the R.R. communication between Louisville and Nashvile was cut off by the Rebels which no doubt will delay our mails and it may be some days before we again hear from you Day before yesterday we ware ordered on half rations again until further orders, but if you could See the forage wagons return of an evening which are sent out evry day, then you would not think there was much danger of us suffering for anything to eat. They are first loaded with Corn or hay and then on top of that is, Sheep, Turkies Geese, Ducks, Guinnea hens, Chickens, Green corn Potatoes, Sweet potatoes, and Peaches and Apples by the bushel, in fact evrything that a plentiful country can supply either on farm or in the garden
