I am Sorry that you was not able to pay Ella for her work before this time for She is the only one liveing who ever worked for me but what has been paid and I hope that ere long I will be able to pay her, in full. As regards to her haveing to furnish money to Support the famiy while you was Sick I think was useless for I Know that there is not an establishment in the town of Liberty but what you could get all the necessaries you should need whether you had the money at the time or not With this I will drop the subject, for many things you here wrote I think not worth the while to reply to. But one think I will do and that is Send the letter back to you and I want you to read it over carefully when you are in a quiet State of mind and then ask yourself if you endorse evrything which you have written therein. God Knows how my heart always leaps with you when I receive a letter and See that it is in the handwriting of my dear wife but I never want another Such as this and I now want the subject dropped now henceforth and forever. and when you can write me a letter as though you put confidence in my integrity of purpose and give me the news and tell me how your own and the health of the children, then I would gladly receive one evry day, and answer them as often as is in my power, but as I before Said I never want another like the last.
