are not jubilant any over this disaster and make a great many high sounding threats - but I guess they are not very dangerous now - their wings are clipped considerably by this last affair. I have just sent a letter to Will by one of the surgons going out that way. I am so in hopes to see him to day or to-morrow. He was going to send for me last Friday and Johnson make a feint to attack them and he did not deem it prudent. The weather is very warm here but I've not felt any ill effects from it yet - Mrs felt the heat but very little either - the other ladies complain much more than I do - I wrote to Hez and Lizzie the other day and will write to Ell soon - I do not feel like it to day. It does not seem one bit like Sunday - they are moving their camps to day, and a great many troops are on the move. Genl.
