to the care of Uncle H. It rained very hard yesterday - and is raining now. Every thing is terribly damp and unpleasant. But I must close now so this will go in the mail. Will just came in and said it was reported we are to go into Vicksburg to-morrow - I am sorry for we have a nice camp here - and then we will not have. It may not be so though. Give my love to all the folks - Will joins me in much love to thee - Thy affectionate daughter Laura
