fixed up very comfortably - Has thee been over to [Harrisons?] yet and what ever does thee think of his family. I am going to write to Aunt to-day I think if I feel in the mood when I finish this - Then must write to her too - they feel their loss very much and I expect Aunt hardly knows what to do with herself. I guess there is no hope that our Brigade will be ordered to Natchez and I am so sorry - the order came once but was countermanded again and another one sent down - and [ours?] sent off on this expedition. Thee has no idea what delightful weather us are having here - I have worn a thick dress for a week now - and find it none too warm. But I must close this as my paper is almost filled - give my love to all the folks there, eat a lot of Peaches & cream for Will & me - and us will come up [ourselves?] if possible - With much love thy affectionate daughter Laura -
