[Vertically, at head of letter:] I want bouth of you boys to write us as soon as you get this I expect that you have herd that we are aunt aney more Mary has got A litle boy wheather you can read this or not for I am in hurri for it is saturday & Almost dark and I can hardly see for i want to send it in tomorow i will hafe to quit and write at candle light Amandy Heister was going to school from Mr Glenns and she took sick and Mother is gon to see her father is after the cows and stuart went after a lode of wod [dowl?] to the other timber and E J is wshrng the dishs Mgig is siting be side me making A sack for her her doll baby and I wonder what you and Jim is doing I will tell you where we have been this wek Monday night night we was at home stuart was at Camp meeting Teusday night at Mr blacks Wednesday night at your hous jimy but you to was amising in the fun and some more of the felows we was at the fair Thursday and we and some of the rest of the girls went home with [Kilgray?] and stuart came after us and we was at home last night but blacks girls was here you dont know how mutched you are missed when we are starting any place. Well I gees I haste wrote anoug for this time. I will save a litle for the next time so good by John I think it would not bee A miss if you would drop a few lines for Old Mr McCloud for he talks a heap about you James you have sent for a good many of the girls to write to but I never mind that I will write any how I would write oftener shoud do but I hant time
