is very much improved since they have come into camp the men were almost run to death before the rebels surrended Vicksburg but now that they are getting a rest they will soon recruit their health and it is very likely they will remain here two or three months so we will be well able for another march the weather here is not as warm as I had expected to find it though it is considerable warmer than at St Louis but we were so long a comming that we got kinder acclimated to the weather before we got into Vicksburg.
