destination I have this moment got a letter from Mary and was very glad to hear that you was well Wittron Will not Be able to stand the service he has taken a great deal of trouble to get our things through I hope he will get them befor we leave here I will write soon as possible to William and give him some of the particulars of our march an a fight at Tuscumbia. the first one was at Cherokee Station on Memphis & Charlston rail road Willis Barnes is sick and Isaac Toothaker was sent to the hospital some two weeks ago we have not heard from him since he was very sick with diarrhea
