got word from him direct he could give you better satisfaction about matters than I could write Newbold can give you all the particulars about things he was very clever to me always some of the company got considerably out with him they sent him a petition while he was home sick requesting him to resign, which I think made him feel rather bad Father I am glad yours are all well and getting along so nicely I hope you will have a good crope this year raise plenty prices will be good I hope you and Mother will write often give me particulars of things up there the weather here is warm during day but very cold at night though my tent mate and me have plenty of clothing three Blankets and two quilts besides a large Peice of ingrain carpet so we do pretty well it is sprinklin rain this afternoon and Bids fair to continue all night, [by?] the way I must ask how is aunt Jones affairs up there with Phebe getting along is any thing a doing about it. as I have nothing more to write you at this time I will close write soon My Love to all.
