the Rebels took some of our cavalry belonging to wilders Brigade took them along with them a peace and then killed them & striped them of every article of clothes they had on and left them laying we passed them and some of our soldiers buried them the Rebels are a desperate murdering set I hope we will get to kill half of them. Last Monday our company was out on the skirmish line sharp shooting did not have any hurt but some of our Company shot two Rebels during all this fight we have had but one killed and one wounded we have been very lucky so far and I trust in god we may be during the Ballance of the fight our men are in good spirits and all is confident of success. well I have said enough about things here how are yous getting along at home I hope well did you get the old field down with thimothy and how is crops doing. I must close my Love to all write often from your son Robert Moyle
