seen they had intend to feed the rebel army here this winter but they will be disapointed maintaing a fiendish sett plunderes they seem to think that they will get some assistance from England. But the help from that point I dont think will amount to much. Last week two rebels conscript from Prices army came and give themselves up and day before yesterday our men took five prisoners and you never seen a moore dirty & ragged set of white men in all your life they represent the army as in a miserable condition they have nothing but corn meal and beareley any clothing to wear so that I think
