the St Louis Ferry Route train. started 7th after 1 oclock. left Mattoon 1 ocl PM,got to Indianapolis 8 PM. 170 mi, Stopped at Soldiers Home. Started on Ind. Central 8th at 5 ocl, AM. got to Columbus just in time to vote for old Abraham. Abrh. got 530 votes at of 643 in the Barracks. /(to Chattanooga in Octbr.) 11th Novbr, started with Deserters to Pittsburgh Pa. got back 14th in the morning. 16th went to Chicago Ill. camp Douglas with Rebs. got bak 19th. 20th with Darkey's to Nashville Tenn. 23rd on the return at Louisville Ky. On the 24th a splendid dinner at the Soldiers Home Cincinnati. arrived
