York Harbor and embarked into Steamer Aragon sailed at night of the 17th, the night prety rough. 18th got calm and midly comfortable all night very calm 19th In morning got into the Gulf stream. met 3 men of War. Preaching by ____ of Christian Consession [praying?] 21 S. [overseas?]. at noon passed Cape Hataras, could see Land all morning. At 12 am passed 5 different Landscapes and two cruizers. The sea smooth as glass. [morning?] at 6 oclock rainy, strong Headwind sea prety high, storm until after midnight. 20th good mind to go ahead. Sea rough, evening very high
