marched 8 Miles. arrived at Pocotalica Station at dark. raining all the time & mud without end. The Station has been Captured a couple days ago. Returned to the Landing on 23 at noon, at State South Carolina at 3 PM on board of Anna Maria. "ankered" all night next morning 24th past Bever fort on East side of Broad R. and got Breakfast at Hilton Head, Emense Army Stores Canons Mortars & Equipments here, Piles of Amunition of all calibre. cold night. Got aboard the Arrago on 25th at 10 AM and Started at 1 PM from H.H.S.C, pretty rough weather. 26 fine. 27 rough at morning 28 rough. 29th at noon arrived at
