morning at Syracuse at [?] oclock trough Troy and at 2 trough Albany and at 10 PM at N. York. 27th at [Bedla?] Island. Remained there until 6th of March, got to New York City at noon on the 6th. Witnessed the Great Prosession in honour for our victories and the enaugaration of Mr Lincoln for the second term. A enormous Procession of Military all Kinds of mchanical simbols of our pressent state of war, lasted all afternoon through Broadway an uncountable mass of People. Returned to [Columbus?] on Wednesday 8th. On 17th [?] started for Vicksburg.
