SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1864. Col. arrived from Louisville Ky with his wife on the evening Train SUNDAY 28 Camp Inspection in quarters. Cooler. Attended Church at three Oclock by Chaplain detailed to go to Nashville Tenn in Charge of Ordnance Stores ordered to be turned over by Inspecting Officer. MONDAY 29 Went to Nashville Tenn with four wagon Loads of Ordnance got along with Ord. But it rained and sleeted all day had to stop twice and warm the most disagreeable day I have experienced this war in way of cold & wet. Lodged at the Union Hotel by Prepaying Bille Bed & Breakfast $1,00
