MONDAY, MARCH 7, 1864. Raining and Muddy. visited the Capt found him able to sit up but much under the weather. horse got loose and I had to foot it to Camp 1 1/2 miles bad or muddy. Rec a letter from Miss Nesbaum Cordsay Co "B" visited us from murfreesboro Tenn, being detailed from us (Vertically, at right:-) Drew 73 Horses TUESDAY 8 Very Busy taking care of our new lot of Horses. did nothing else. Received one Copy of the Guernsey Times since we left here Oct 14th 1863 Bean is being Court Marshalled and I am acting as his Council he is getting along very well Drew Two (2) Horses. WEDNESDAY 9 Busy all day taking Care of Horses and doing other things belonging to my office. Under took the case of Charles Brown Charged with desertion a Bad case Went to Mr [Ives?] a Union Man and staid all night Got lost going to his house 2 miles it being very dark
