SUNDAY, APRIL 3, 1864. Reveille at 4 A.M. formed at 8 A.M. Inspected by Col. and then Commenced march Marched 19 miles and encamped 4 miles from Murfreesboro on the Shelbyville Pike. Threatening Rain Q.M. Killbourn either sold or gave away about 50 sacks Corn Witness J.C. Parish MONDAY 4 Reveille at 4 A.M.- Left camp about 7 A.M. Driseled Rain most of day Made 23 miles and en-camped 1 1/2 miles from Shelbyville - Am feeling better than have for a week Abandoned one (1) horse because gave out - having been foundered before leaving La Vergne TUESDAY 5 Reveille at 4 1/2 A.M. then Grazining &c. Left at 7 O'lock A.M. and had pleasant weather all day. Roads only tolerable Encamped within sight of Tullahoma, having marched 18 miles Several of the Boys very sick and two sent to Hospital namey Sergt. Clark and Jon McCloud
