TUESDAY, APRIL 12, 1864. Left Camp without any haste Marched slowly through a warm shower and made Ringgold about night and Encamped Making 18 miles being only about two miles from the Rebel Pickets WEDNESDAY 13 Pleasant - Remained in Camp until afternoon when moved Camp to a pleasant and well slected site N. of Ringgold about (1) One Mile - Commenced building a logh shanty having no tent. Col Smith Command our Brigade THURSDAY 14 Sent Out 21 Men on Picket to be Out two (2) days. All hands busy arranging Camp and quarters All quiet in front.
