THURSDAY, APRIL 21, 1864. As [Usual?] only Lost One horse from the Distemper and marching when Running with said disease FRIDAY 22 (No Entry) SATURDAY 23 Pleasant about noon Rec orders to have one days Rations & Forage and be ready to start at three oClock which we did Reached Layfaette 19 miles about 8 Oclock at night went 14 miles beyond and found the Rebs had moved their post which we intended to gobble marched all night Reached Camp in morning making 60 miles. This under [sunday?]
