SATURDAY, MAY 21, 1864. Our Advance is at Cassville. The army has been resting yesterday and today. Visited the 13th 66th 97th O.V.I. and received a very hearty welcome, from both officers and men. Are encamped at Kingston SUNDAY 22 Left Camp and returned to Adairville - i.e. our whole division - the weather is very pleasant and what rendered our march more so is the shady country through which we march - the country being very mountainous and but a small fraction of it under cultivation distance traveled 14 Ms MONDAY 23 Remained in Camp all day - nothing unusual transpired except the Adjt had me under arrest for neglect of duty (not furnishing more men than I have) furnished one more than my report authorized me to do. Will have to [l?] prefer the following charge against the Adjt "Neglect of duty" (failing to make the detail on me as he should do) And for my Arrest
