THURSDAY, JUNE 2, 1864. Pleasant but - Hot weather Took Squadron to graze at Noon twenty five men detailed for Picket duty. Ord had them promptly Reported - Nothing of vital interest in this division Rec. a letter From Miss Wallace - Marked Monmouth In FRIDAY 3 Nothing unusual transpired Picket Reported to Camp in afternoon all Right - Made a Request to Col. Lowe 5 [days leav?] for an order to go to Ringgold Ga to obtain papers necessary to My muster as Capt. Have to buy a horse and let Superior officers manage the Concern SATURDAY 4 Showery this morning all my men in Camp for once during this week Our men off duty all day - Bought two horses. one a Sorrel Horse Colt Valued at Captured near Villanow from a Citizen the other a Sorrel Horse 9 years old Captured from the Rebs May 2nd in The Tunnel Hill Fight - Recd. an order to go to Ringgold. Raining
